A fine antique George III period mahogany eight day longcase clock with figured mahogany case. The hood with brass capped corner columns, arched top with 3 brass spire finials, interspersed by a scalloped edge decoration.
The arched brass dial is signed on the matted centre, with recessed seconds indication and blued-steel hands. There is a strike/silent secondary dial within the arch, amidst pierced, gilt spandrels.
The eight day movement has anchor escapement and strikes the hour on a bell.
